Notification on the Submission of Electronic Photosby

As of January 1, 2014,test takers who register to take the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), HSK Speaking Test (HSKK), Business Chinese Test (BCT) or Youth Chinese Test(YCT) at test centers in mainland China shall upload their electronic photos for identification onto the website for the above Chinese tests, www.chinesetest.cn.Those who fail to upload the photos or whose photos fail to meet the following requirements will not be allowed to enter the examination room to take the tests.

Requirements for the electronic photo:

1. Test Takers’ recent two-inch electronic photo for identification. Photos themed with daily life or landscape will not be accepted;

2. No hat, scarf, headband or sunglasses are allowed to appear in the photo (except for test takers with certain religious beliefs);

3.Either a black and white or a color photo isacceptable, and a white background is preferred;

4. The photo shall be in JPG/JPEG format and no larger than 100KB in size.

The above requirements apply to HSK Levels IV - VI, HSKK at all levels, BCT (A) and BCT (B), YCT-Speaking.
